About

Meet Jennifer Nelson

Before opening my own practice, I was a long-time litigating partner at a large national law firm, representing corporations and smaller businesses in complex legal disputes. While the blood sport of large-scale litigation no longer appeals to me, my time in the litigation trenches gave me a deep appreciation for the toll lawsuits take — financially, emotionally, and personally — on everyone involved. That experience inspired me to create a practice focused on resolution, helping people and organizations avoid the heavy burden of prolonged legal battles.

My Approach

I believe that people simply want to be heard. My role is to hold a neutral space where clients can share difficult truths and feel safe doing so. Whether I am mediating a lawsuit or conducting a workplace investigation, I strive to be thorough, fair, and unbiased, while also being approachable and empathetic. Clients often tell me they feel seen and respected throughout the process, which is the highest compliment I can receive.

Experience You Can Trust

My decades as a litigator taught me how to navigate complex situations, extract critical information under pressure, and remain steady in the face of conflict — skills that are invaluable in mediation and workplace investigations. Just as importantly, I’m told I have a natural ability to make people feel at ease, which helps build the trust necessary to gather accurate and meaningful information. Finally, I am undaunted by big egos or seemingly intractable positions, which helps me drive the overall process toward real resolution.

Why This Work Matters

I’ve seen firsthand how litigation can drain resources and damage relationships. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that resolution is possible without years of courtroom battles. Through mediation and investigations, I help clients find a path forward that is faster, more cost-effective, and ultimately more humane.
